A equipe da Secretaria Municipal de Esportes e Lazer (Smel) / Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras pretende ampliar o número de atletas no judô. Já estão abertas novas vagas para crianças e adolescentes interessados em compor o time comandado pelo técnico Paulino Namie. Além de formar cidadão, o projeto tem como objetivo revelar novos talentos para o judô brasileiro. As aulas são gratuitas.
Os interessados devem comparecer ao Centro Esportivo do Socorro munidos de documento de identidade ou certidão de nascimento, três fotos 3x4 e comprovante de residência. Neste mês, as inscrições devem ser feitas de segunda, quarta e sexta-feira, após as 18 horas. A partir de fevereiro, o local estará aberto diariamente e em todos os horários.
"Não existe um número limite de vagas. Sabemos que muitos começam e depois param. Vamos receber quantas crianças quiserem participar. A procura nunca é tão grande", destacou o treinador mogiano, convocado no ano passado em três oportunidades para comandar a Seleção Brasileira de base.
Paulino Namie também fez questão de explicar a questão do material esportivo para a prática do judô, no caso, o quimono. "Isso é por conta do aluno, mas não de imediato. Primeiro a criança pode fazer algumas aulas para ver se gosta realmente. Depois a gente conversa sobre o quimono".
A parceria com o judô do Palestra Itália, renovada na penúltima semana de 2010, deu o suporte necessário para ampliar o número de atletas na equipe da Smel. Com o Cadastro Nacional de Pessoa Jurídica (CNPJ) do clube e sede alviverde em Mogi, todas as categorias terão o apoio, da mirim ao master.
"Muita criança parou por falta de condições. Mas agora, com o apoio do Palmeiras, ficou muito melhor. Hoje temos tranquilidade para treinar sem se preocupar com despesas para viagens. O Palmeiras banca tudo". (T.C.)
