Daniel Hernandes é prata e Rafael Silva bronze no GP de Qingdao


No último campeonato da temporada, o Brasil conquistou neste sábado (18), no Grand Prix de Qingdao, na China, duas medalhas. Daniel Hernandes (+100kg) ficou com a prata, enquanto Rafael Silva (+100kg) com o bronze. Com o resultado, judô brasileiro terminou o evento na oitava colocação no quadro de medalhas, com uma prata e dois bronzes.

O Grand Prix de Qingdao contou pontos para o ranking mundial e olímpico da Federação Internacional de Judô. A medalha de ouro vale 200 pontos no ranking, enquanto a prata 120 e o bronze 80. Competiram no GP 246 judocas de 31 países.

Para garantir a medalha de prata, Daniel Hernandes venceu na estreia em Qingdao o holandês Luuk Verbij, por ippon. Na semifinal, Daniel protagonizou uma disputa verde-amarela com Rafael Silva, e, bateu o companheiro de seleção e do Clube Pinheiros por ippon. Na decisão, Daniel acabou derrotado pelo egípcio Islam El Shehaby, bronze no Mundial de Tóquio 2010, por ippon.

Já Rafael Silva conquistou um ippon sobre o chinês Zhuhong Shen na primeira rodada. Na luta seguinte, outro ippon, desta vez sobre o francês Matthieu Bataille. Como não há repescagem no grand prix, a derrota para o compatriota Daniel Hernandes garantiu o bronze.

In last season's championship, Brazil won on Saturday (18), the Grand Prix of Qingdao, China, two medals. Daniel Hernandes (+100 kg) took silver, while Rafael Silva (+100 kg) the bronze. With the result, Brazilian judo event finished in eighth place in the medals table with one silver and two bronzes.

The Grand Prix of Qingdao told the world ranking points for Olympic and International Judo Federation. The gold medal is worth 200 ranking points, while silver and bronze 120 80. Competed in the GP 246 judokas from 31 countries.

To ensure the silver medal, Daniel Hernandez won on debut in Qingdao Dutch Luuk Verbij by ippon. In the semifinal, Daniel starred in a dispute with yellow-green Rafael Silva, and hit the mate selection and the Pinheiros by ippon. In the decision, Daniel was defeated by the Egyptian Shehaby El Islam, World bronze in Tokyo in 2010, by ippon.
Rafael Silva has already won an ippon over the Chinese Shen Zhuhong the first round. In the next fight, another ippon, this time over Frenchman Matthieu Bataille. Since there is no playoff in the grand prix, losing to the countryman Daniel Hernandez secured the bronze.
