Padre Dênis é promovido a faixa preta em Vinhedo

No destaque, Padre Dênis e Sensei Liogi Suzuki, 9º Dan, que viajou sete horas para prestigiar a cerimônia de graduação.

Em cerimônia realizada no dia 20 de dezembro, no teatro Municipal de Vinhedo, o Padre Dênis Oldak Paixão e Silva recebeu sua promoção à faixa preta. Padre Dênis, da Congregação dos Oblatos de São José, que atua na Arquidiocese de Campinas, é também integrante da equipe de evangelização do padre Eduardo Dougherty, fundador da Associação do Senhor Jesus, que é proprietária da TV Século XXI e da revista Brasil Cristão, com sede na cidade de Valinhos. Padre Dênis treinou judô em sua adolescência e por motivos de saúde parou de praticar. Então em 2004, já estabelecido em Valinhos, na Associaçãodo Senhor Jesus, voltou a treinar judô na Trajano Center, culminando em sua promoção nesta última segunda feira.

Na oportunidade, Padre Dênis proferiu um discurso, que reproduzimos aqui, na íntegra:

"Amigos e irmãos! Nesta cerimônia de graduação, agradeço ao Senhor Deus, fonte de todo  bem, por me conceder receber nesta noite a minha promoção ao primeiro Dan da Faixa-Preta. Iniciei a prática do Judô no ano de 1979, em São Paulo, graduando-me como Faixa-Azul. Depois, por motivos de saúde, tive que parar, ficando 25 anos sem praticá-lo. Retornei em 2004, e hoje, agradeço de maneira muito especial o meu primeiro professor, o sensei Kimura, hoje, 7º Dan, como também o sensei Milton Trajano, 6º Dan, e seu filho Milton Trajano Junior, 3º Dan, que ao longo desses anos ensinaram-me com paciência e dedicação a nobre arte do Judô. Saúdo e agradeço, também, o sensei Liogi Suzuki, 9º Dan, pelo apoioe incentivo que me tem dado.

Peço a Deus, nosso Senhor, que conceda-nos a graça de que o Judô seja sempre " o Caminho da Suavidade, o Caminho da Gentileza", para ajudar a formar homens e mulheres de paz, solícitos na prática do bem, e, úteis à sociedade humana.

Peço-lhe, também, que todos os praticantes do Judô almejem, não tanto serem campeões do pódium, mas, sim, campeões da vida, com uma conduta moral elevada, pessoas virtuosas, humildes, retas, puras, boas, amando a Deus sobre todas as coisas, e ao próximo por amor a Deus.

FATHER DÊNIS IS PROMOTED A BLACK BELT IN VINHEDO (SP)

In a ceremony held on December 20 at Vineyard Theatre Municipal, Father Dennis Oldaker Passion e Silva received his promotion to black belt. Father Dennis, the Congregation of the Oblates of St. Joseph, who works in the Archdiocese of Campinas, is also part of the evangelistic team of Father Edward Dougherty, founder of the Association of the Lord Jesus, who owns the TV and the Twenty-First Century Christian magazine Brazil, with headquarters in Valinhos. Father Dennis coached judo in his teens and for health reasons stopped practicing. Then in 2004, already established in Valinhos Associaçãodo the Lord Jesus returned to training in judo Center Trajan, culminating in his promotion this last Monday.

On that occasion, Father Dennis gave a speech, which we reproduce here in full:

"Friends and brothers! This graduation ceremony, thank the Lord God, source of all good, for giving me this evening to receive my promotion to first Dan black belt. I started practicing judo in 1979, in San Paul, graduating as a Range I-Blue. Then, for health reasons, had to stop going 25 years without practicing it. I returned in 2004, and today, I thank most especially my first teacher, the sensei Kimura, Today, 7th Dan, as well as the sensei Milton Trajano, 6th Dan, and his son Milton Trajano Junior, 3rd Dan, who over the years have taught me patience and dedication to the noble art of Judo. I greet and thank, too, Liogi Suzuki Sensei, 9th Dan, the apoioe encouragement that has given me.

I pray to God our Lord, grant us the grace to say Judo is always "the Way of the Gentle, the Path of Kindness," to help train men and women of peace zealous in doing good, and useful to human society.

I ask you, too, we all long for practitioners of Judo, not so much be champions of the podium, but rather champions of life, with a high moral character, virtuous, humble, straight, pure, good, loving God above all things and our neighbor for God's sake.
