Foi-se as época em que o Brasil inteiro parava para reverenciar a Copa do Mundo de Futebol. Evento que de quatro em quatro anos nos ajudava a reafirmar o orgulho e orientar o desejo e a obstinação de um povo. Ruas pintadas, a vizinhança reunida, aulas parcialmente interrompidas. Isso não era pontual, mas sim o reflexo geral do desejo aguerrido de uma nação. Falava-se futebol, respirava-se futebol, vivia-se o patriotismo verde e amarelo, e mais do que isso, uma devoção por um esporte que naquele momento se tornava a razão de milhares e milhares de brasileiros.
Por incrível que possa parecer, ironicamente, com o fim da dívida externa (Obrigado Lula!), com a ascensão das classes emergentes e menos favorecidas (por mínima que seja), com a valorização de nosso país e suas riquezas nesta realidade de comercialização globalizada; aos poucos se faz perceptível a gradativa perda do orgulho, da determinação e da vontade de vencer. Aspectos estes característicos de sociedades, pessoas e equipes ditas vencedoras.
Quem sabe fomos pegos de surpresa por uma gama e um volume tão significativo de investimentos, ou promessa de tais, projetos para Jogos Olímpicos, Copa do mundo e tantos outros eventos esportivos, que inconscientemente ou de forma consciente, nos acomodaram na certeza da prospecção de um fim vitorioso. Afinal de contas, se quando em situações adversas nos destacamos, quiçá agora.
É notória a presença de uma positiva, e eu diria natural, conspiração a favor de nossa nação, quer seja como agente pacificador nas relações mundiais ou como celeiro muti-facetado que gera expectativas globais em relação a muitas áreas do conhecimento, do comércio, da industria, do esporte e até mesmo da fé. Porém, conforme o etnólogo francês Marc Augé a humanidade vive, dentre tantos aspectos, o fruto de uma falta de identificação. A falta de referenciais, a falta de vontade, a falta de querer, a falta de determinação. Existe em si, uma busca pelo conforto e a espera de resultados e resoluções imediatas.
Hoje, como nação e por consequência como indivíduos, a priori, somos mais do que já fomos. Temos mais do que já tivemos. E o respeito que a nós é refletido se deve ao que conquistamos durante anos de história. Antagonicamente não nos afirmamos em muitas de nossas fragilidades, bem como, em algumas de nossas peculiaridades. Ainda precisamos resgatar aspectos positivos que com o passar do tempo tem, vez por outra, nos escapado.
Me parece que esquecemos que a história se escreve. Que campeões são formados em primeiro lugar dentro de si próprios. Que o ser humano dia-a-dia mostra que a linha do impossível é em primeiro lugar desenhada em sua mente. Uma linha que duela constantemente com a linha do conforto em detrimento da linha do crescimento. Que nos diga o jamaicano Usain Bolt ou quem sabe o nadador tupiniquim César Cielo, ou ainda o nosso judoca João Derly, que dentre tantos foram atletas que transcenderam essa linha.
As vezes me parece que estamos chegando a um ponto na história em que há um silencioso-gritante clamor à necessidade de uma mudança de paradigmas. Quem sabe seja tempo de retornar às raízes, reafirmar ícones, trazer à memória referenciais que nos dão esperança, por mais obviamente cíclica que possa parecer ou ser a história. Ter de forma clara e objetiva o real propósito de vida, dentro e fora do esporte. Só assim será possível viver e retratar algo que se faz inerente ao comportamento humano. E principalmente ao comportamento humano brasileiro. O que buscamos, lutamos e chamamos de determinação.
Ah! Quanto a seleção brasileira?
Bom, é hora de pegar a “Vuvuzela”, vestir a camisa verde e amarela e resgatar um pouco mais do orgulho que cada brasileiro tem.
E sim, continuar lutando por um pódio. Aliás que eles venham de preferência à moda antiga, com superação, suor e porque não, lágrimas.

AND IF THE PRESS OF THE SAME IMPORTANCE FOR SOCCER TO OTHER SPORTS?
Gone is the time when the whole of Brazil stopped to bow to the FIFA World Cup. Event that every four years in helping to reaffirm the pride and guide desire and stubbornness of a people. Painted streets, the neighborhood gathered, partially disrupted classes. This was not specific, but reflects the general desire of an embattled nation. There was talk football, soccer breathed, lived up patriotism green and yellow, and more than that, a devotion to a sport that moment became the reason thousands and thousands of Brazilians.
Incredible as it may seem, ironically, for the purpose of external debt (Thanks Lula!), With the rise of emerging and disadvantaged classes (however small it is), with the appreciation of our country and its wealth in this reality of global marketing ; gradually becomes visible to the gradual loss of pride, determination and will to win. Characteristic aspects of these societies, individuals and teams winning spoken.
Maybe we were caught by surprise by a range and so a significant volume of investments, or promise of such, projects for the Olympics, World Cup and many other sporting events, unconsciously or consciously, we settled on the certainty of prospecting a victorious end. After all, when we stand out in adverse situations, perhaps now.
It is evident the presence of a positive nature and I would say, conspiracy in favor of our nation, whether as a pacifying agent in international relations as a barn or muti-faceted that generates global expectations regarding many areas of knowledge, commerce, industry, sport and even faith. However, as the French anthropologist Marc Augé humanity lives, among many things, the result of a lack of identification. The lack of references, lack of will, lack of will, lack of determination. There is in itself a search for comfort and waiting for immediate results and resolutions.
Today, as a nation and as individuals therefore, a priori, we are more than we were. We got more than we ever had. And the respect that is reflected to us whether we have made during the years of history. Antagonistically do not say in many of our weaknesses and, in some of our peculiarities. We still need to rescue positive aspects that over time has, on occasion, we escaped.
I seem to have forgotten that history is written. Champions who are trained in first place within themselves. That the human day-to-day shows that the line of the impossible is first drawn in your mind. A line duels constantly with the line of comfort at the expense of online growth. Tell us that the Jamaican Usain Bolt or swimmer who knows tupiniquim Cesar Cielo, or our judoka Derly, who were among many athletes who have transcended that line.
Sometimes I think we're reaching a point in history where there is a silent cry, crying to the need for a paradigm shift. Maybe it is time to return to her roots, reaffirm icons, bring to memory references that give us hope, for the most cyclical of course it may seem or be history. Have a clear objective and the real purpose of life inside and outside the sport. Only then can we live and portray something that is inherent to human behavior. And especially to the Brazilian human behavior. What we seek, we fight and we call determination.
Ah! As the Brazilian team?
Well, it's time to hit the "Vuvuzela" wear the green and yellow shirt and salvage a little pride that every American has.
And yes, keep fighting for a podium. In fact they come rather old-fashioned, with running, sweating and why not, tears.
