Gevrise Emane conquista o primeiro ouro francês no Mundial de Judô
Foto: ReutersO Mundial de Judô chegou a seu terceiro dia nesta quinta-feira e, pela primeira vez, o hino do Japão não foi escutado no Palais Omnisports de Bercy, em Paris. Soberanos na competição, os atletas do país asiático tiveram uma prata como melhor resultado. Já os franceses celebraram o ouro pela primeira vez no torneio e puderam cantar a Marselhesa, o hino francês, em uníssono no ginásio.
O título da casa foi obtido por Gevrise Emane, descendente de camaroneses que levantou a torcida da casa em uma difícil final contra a japonesa Yoshie Ueno, líder do ranking - o ouro veio somente na decisão (unânime) dos juízes.
A outra medalha dourada desta quinta foi obtida pelo sul-coreano Jae-Bum Kim, que superou o montenegrino Srdjan Mrvaljevic, algoz de Leandro Guilheiro, e garantiu o bicampeonato mundial.
O Japão segue líder do quadro de medalhas, com cinco ouros, quatro pratas e um bronze. A França assumiu o segundo lugar (um ouro, um bronze e um quinto lugar), enquanto a Coreia do Sul aparece em terceiro. O Brasil caiu para a quinta colocação.
Brasil iguala Tóquio
Para os brasileiros, a quinta-feira significou nova medalha, desta vez um bronze com Leandro Guilheiro (-81 kg). Nos dias anteriores, Sarah Menezes (-60 kg) também ficou com o terceiro lugar, e Leandro Cunha (-66 kg) e Rafaela Silva (-57 kg) levaram a prata. Com apenas três dias, o País igualou o número de pódios conquistados no Mundial de Tóquio, em 2010, quando foram obtidos três pratas e um bronze.
Para esta sexta-feira, quarto dia de competição e penúltimo do torneio individual - no último dia haverá competição por equipe -, o Brasil terá novos favoritos no tatame de Paris. Mayra Aguiar, atual vice-campeã mundial da categoria até 78 kg, tenta sua segunda final consecutiva. Outros atletas a competir serão Maria Portela (-70 kg), Tiago Camilo e Hugo Pessanha (-90 kg).

Japan has days of drought at the World Judo, France wins 1st gold
The World Judo reached its third day on Thursday and for the first time, the anthem of Japan was not heard at the PalaisOmnisports de Bercy in Paris.
