Leandro Cunha é bronze no Grand Prix de Qingdao



O vice-campeão mundial Leandro Cunha (66kg), conquistou nesta sexta-feira (17) a medalha de bronze no Grand Prix de Qingdao, na China, etapa do Circuito Mundial da Federação Internacional de Judô e que vale pontos para o ranqueamento olímpico para Londres 2012. Neste sábado (18) competem Nacif Elias (81kg), Daniel Hernandes (+100kg) e Rafael Silva (+100kg).

No Grand Prix de Qingdao, a medalha de ouro vale 200 pontos no ranking, enquanto a prata 120 e o bronze 80. Competem no GP 246 judocas de 31 países.

Leandro Cunha venceu na primeira rodada em Qingdao Tu Kai-Wen, de Taipei, por ippon com 2min11s de luta. Na segunda luta, o brasileiro bateu o francês David Larose, por yuko. Na semifinal, Leandro foi derrotado por ippon pelo russo Alim Gadanov.

Os demais brasileiros que competiram nesta sexta-feira não chegaram na disputa de medalha. Breno Alves (60kg), foi derrotado na estreia na decisão dos árbitros pelo mongol Ganbat Boldbaatar; já Phelipe Pelim (60kg) venceu por ippon o chinês Lishuan Yang, mas acabou derrotado na luta seguinte pelo mongol Chimed-Yondon Boldbaatar. Charles Chibana (66kg) superou o mongol Adiya Batsuuri, por ippon, e, na sequência, perdeu por ippon para o francês David Larose. Na categoria leve (73kg), Victor Penalber ficou na primeira rodada ao ser vencido pelo israelense Ioseb Palelashvili. Adriano Santos (73kg) foi derrotado na primeira rodada pelo francês Ugo Legrand por ippon.

O Brasil não enviou atletas da equipe feminina.

The second place at the word, Leandro Cunha (66kg), won on Friday (17) the bronze medal at the Grand Prix of Qingdao, China, World Circuit phase of the International Judo Federation and which points to the valley to the Olympic ranking London 2012. This Saturday (18) compete Elias Nacif (81kg), Daniel Hernandes (+100 kg) and Rafael Silva (+100 kg).

The other Brazilians who competed on Friday came not in contention for a medal. Breno Alves (60kg), was defeated on debut in the decision of the arbitrators by Mongolian Ganbat Boldbaatar; already Phelipe Pelim (60kg) won by ippon Chinese Lishuan Yang, but was defeated in the fight following the Mongol-Chimed Yondon Boldbaatar. Charles Chibana (66kg) exceeded the Mongolian Adiy Batsuuri by ippon, and as a result, lost by ippon to French David Larose. In the lightweight category (73kg), Victor Penalba was in the first round to be beaten by Israeli Ioseb Palelashvili. Adriano Santos (73kg) was defeated in the first round by Frenchman Ugo Legrand by ippon.

Brazil has not sent athletes women's team.
