O Sesc Paraíba também incentiva as artes marciais. Neste fim de semana, de 18 a 20 de março, acontece a Copa Sesc de Judô. O evento será realizado no Ginásio do Sesc Centro João Pessoa e envolve na programação um festival com crianças e a seletiva para a Seleção Paraibana da modalidade. Atletas de todo o estado participam da competição, que conta com o apoio da Federação Paraibana de Judô.
A Copa Sesc de Judô tem início nesta sexta-feira, 18, à noite, com a pesagem dos atletas que participarão da seletiva. Cerca de 200 judocas serão divididos nas categorias sub-13, sub-15, juvenil, júnior e sênior. Em cada uma destas, há oito subdivisões de acordo com o peso, além da divisão entre feminino e masculino.
No sábado, 19, das 9 às 18 horas, haverá a seletiva para escolher os atletas que irão compor a Seleção Paraibana de Judô. Os vencedores, em cada categoria, representarão a Paraíba nos campeonatos nacionais.
Jó o domingo, dia 20, será destinado para a realização de um festival pedagógico de judô para crianças de 5 a 10 anos. São esperados 100 participantes para o festival, que tem o objetivo de incentivar a prática do esporte. Por isso, todas as crianças irão ganhar medalha de participação.
“Esta é a primeira competição da modalidade no ano e os principais atletas do estado estarão presentes. Assim, todo o público está convidado a assistir a Copa Sesc de Judô”, afirmou o coordenador de Esportes do Sesc Centro João Pessoa, Jailson Oliveira.

SESC Judo Cup takes place this weekend

On Saturday, 19, from 9 to 18 hours, there will be selective to choose the athletes who will make the selection Paraibana Judo. The winners in each category will represent the national championships in Paraíba.
Job Sunday, Dec. 20, will go to a festival of teaching judo to children aged 5 to 10 years. 100 participants are expected for the festival, which aims to encourage the sport. Therefore, all children will win a medal for participation.
"This is the first competition of the sport in years and the top athletes in the state will be present. Thus, the entire audience is invited to attend the World Cup Judo SESC, "said the coordinator of the Sports Centre Sesc Joao Pessoa, Jailson Oliveira.
