O excelente desempenho da delegação brasileira no Grand Slam do Rio de Janeiro mostrou a importância do "fator casa" também no judô. Por isso, a Confederação Brasileira de Judô (CBJ) anunciou nesta terça-feira que a etapa de São Paulo da Copa do Mundo da categoria, neste final de semana, terá ingressos gratuitos.
As entradas para a competição, que será realizada no Ginásio do Ibirapuera, começarão a ser distribuídas na quinta-feira, das 9h às 12h, na bilheteria da Rua Manoel da Nóbrega. No sábado e domingo, dias do evento, também haverá distribuição de convites, das 8h às 17h, com cada torcedor podendo retirar dois ingressos. Em ambos os dias a fase classificação começa às 9h e a fase final às 16h.
Sediando pela segunda vez uma etapa da Copa do Mundo de Judô, São Paulo receberá atletas de 45 países, numa expectativa de 305 competidores, de acordo com a Federação Internacional de Judô. Por ser país sede, o Brasil poderá inscrever quatro atletas por categoria. Apenas em três pesos femininos o País não usará toda sua cota: até 48 kg, até 78 kg (três judocas cada) e +78 kg (duas brasileiras). Nos demais, força máxima.
Maria Portela, bronze na categoria até 70 kg no Grand Slam do Rio, espera um desempenho ainda melhor em São Paulo. "Praticamente terei pela frente as mesmas adversárias que tive no Grand Slam do Rio e estou trabalhando para chegar na medalha de ouro. Como passei quatro anos morando em São Paulo fiz muitos amigos e conto com a torcida deles."
